An artist based in Geneva, born in 1946, Charles de Montaigu periodically exercises an intense activity as a designer in addition to his work as a sculptor. His work as a designer draws inspiration from the human body, first of all from the living model, to quickly emancipate himself from it to the benefit of his memory. At the same time, he is extending a more intimate work in large format around floral patterns, exploring his plastic structures to the limits of abstraction.
Born June 1, 1946 in Aix-les-Bains, where he spent his childhood. Adolescence was in Brittany, Paris and in the South of France. In 1967, he settled in Switzerland.
