Born in 1949 in Geneva, Thierry Bourquin lives and works in Switzerland and in France.
In 1973, he left for the Andes, got lost on the way, found himself in India and then in Japan where he began his work as an engraver and creating his own books. He returned to Geneva five years later where he continued his work.
He creates his own publishing house, Les Éditions nomades, with a small “n” – it’s a state of mind -, publish works in limited edition, often confidential, illustrated with etchings, serigraphs and / or illuminations around serious, spiritual, naive, naughty, poetic texts … more than eighty titles published to date.
Thierry Bourquin is the only craftsman (artist) of these editions. I’m editing, he tells us.
He exhibits regularly in galleries in Switzerland and France.
